Straight No Chaser
This Friday we are proud to bring you Phoenix Arizona's hardest working deejay, Joe DiPadova of the weekly party StraightNoChaser and Tribal Winds Records (NYC). I first started talking to Joe through email way back in 1999 when he was a college radio DJ in Boston and had always respected his passion and dedication to House music through the years. Now Joe runs a successful weekly party in Phoenix called StraightNoChaser that continually hosts some of the best DJ's in the world and defies any preconceived notions about what Arizona nightlife has to offer.
Joe is one of the 'Global Soul' movement's brightest rising stars. Not only has he released on Antonio Ocasio's renowned Tribal Winds Records NYC (as I mentioned previously), but he continues to produce hot record after hot record. Asked to release shortly on Lars Behrenroth's (Liebe Detail/West End/XM Radio) new label, Joe is also coming correct with A-list DJ/Label Owner jojoflores (Gotsoul Records - Montreal) by pressing a jam that's being played & charted worldwide by the likes of DJ Pope (Poji Records - Baltimore), Jihad Muhammad (West End Records - NYC), Julius 'the Mad Thinker' (3Degrees - Chicago), Jojo (Greece) and Ian Friday (Tea Party Music/West End - NYC). His newest track "ALARM", is one of the hottest joints at the Winter Music Conference RIGHT NOW in Miami by HALO, Julius 'the Mad Thinker', Abacah Soul, Bradford James, jojoflores & more, with rumors of it's eventual release on Dennis Ferrer's label Objektivity.
On top of all this and his weekly events in Phoenix which have earned him a national reputation, Joe is touring constantly - routinely booked to play some of the hottest parties in the US. In the last year alone, Joe has played in Boston, Chicago, St Louis, Kansas City, Omaha, San Diego, Los Angeles, Dallas, & Taos, NM.
