Miss South Carolina is an example of a child who has been left behind. [Via: TMN]

The full transcript: "I personally believe that U.S. Americans are unable to do so because, uh, some people out there in our nation don't have maps, and, uh, I believe that our education like such as in South Africa and, uh, the Iraq everywhere like, such as and I believe that they should, our education over here in the U.S. should help the U.S., er, should help South Africa and should help the Iraq and the Asian countries, so we will be able to build up our future for our children." Miss Teen SC, Lauren Caitlin Upton, is from my hometown of Lexington, SC. We graduated from the same high school. This is a quote from 'The State,' the local newspaper:

"Upton was asked in her pre-pageant Q&A session with the paper: "What is the first thing you will do when you get home?"

"Eat me some hamburgers," she responded. "I haven't eaten hamburgers, French fries or hot dogs in three years, and I just want to see what it tastes like."

Damn, I miss those Southern girls.

Lauren Caitlin Upton, AKA Miss Teen South Carolina, is from my hometown of Lexington, SC. In fact, we graduated from the same high school. Here's a little excerpt from 'The State' newspaper that I just love:

Upton was asked in her pre-pageant Q&A session with the paper: "What is the first thing you will do when you get home?"

"Eat me some hamburgers," she responded. "I haven't eaten hamburgers, French fries or hot dogs in three years, and I just want to see what it tastes like."

God damn, I miss those southern girls!

A child left behind. You effin kill me.
