Good Vietnamese food is hard to come by in Salt Lake since the rapid decline of the once great Cafe Trang, but I'm happy to say I think I've found a decent replacement for yummy PHO and flat noodles. Try Indochine on 230 S. 1300 East. The service is still working some kinks out (the waiter spilled beer on us trying to carry it on a try), but the food is pretty good and they have great fresh spring rolls.

What happened to Cafe Trang? I liked that place. So sad.

They started making "improvements" one day and soon after changed the menu entirely. The new offerings were more in line with a Chinese buffet, ala spooky pork balls and mystery ingredients. Yuk!

I'd like to suggest Pho Cali, just east of Redwood on 3500 south. Good Pho noodle soup. Service is blotchy, and the atmosphere is a little weak. However I just go for the noodles.

there's lots of great pho available in west valley.
Also, have you tried Mi Lai Cai noodle house on 900 south state? Excellent V. cuisine.
