I had the distinct pleasure of meeting one of my all time favorite graphic designers while on a recent trip to Los Angeles. Stuart Patterson is responsible for some of the most iconic images in music and fashion from the late 90's and beyond when his work for Wallpaper Magazine and Naked Music catapulted him into the collective conscience. His often imitated work came to define the era of afroglam jet-setting pill-poppers yet his range has grown beyond nude women and retro patterns. Clients as wide ranging as BMW, The Walt Disney Concert Hall, KCRW, Bluefly.com and club massives Avaland and Giant in L.A. have tapped his Colorola Studios electric sensibility to further raise their profile.
