Atomic Pile Lamps

These Atomic Pile Lamps are my partner Mark's most recent design offspring. The stacks are made from salvaged hygrometers (instruments for measuring moisture in soil) he bought for $15 each at a salvage yard. He took them apart, had the aluminum stripped and polished, then added custom steel bases. The 11" bulbs give them a nice Frankenstein's lab flair. This is what the hygrometers looked like before the project.
