Waajeed is a musical artist from Detroit, constantly shape-shifting to inspire the spirit of his people. A founding member of Slum Village and Platinum Pied Pipers, he has helped shape Motor City's venerable house and hip-hop scenes working with the likes of J Dilla, Amp Fiddler, and Theo Parrish. Comfortable collaborating with musicians from across the spectrum of sound, his main objective is authenticity. Currently, Waajeed is working to build out the Underground Music Academy to foster multi-generational skill-sharing for Detroit’s youth. Waajeed is the real deal.
