Over the past two years we have fought for your right to express yourself, for your right to have a space in this city free from the creative confines of traditional for-profit nightclubs, and for artists to create and share their unmediated artform with the public. This anniversary is yours. This venue is yours. We built this all for you, will you dance with us?
Join us, Friday, September 9th as we celebrate the artists and audience that make this space what it is today. Dozens of locals artists and performers come together for one night to pay homage to a city of glass ceilings forever broken by the strength of our members. Your dancefloorhas always been contested. On this night, we celebrate two years of fighting for you and your politicial, sexual and artistic expression.
Techno in two rooms by some of Vancouver's finest, the premier of new art installations by local artists, drag artists, the return of the infamous lust lounge, live photobooths, and a sneak peak into VAL's new Vinyl Library, western Canada's first non-profit privately-funded music library.
We invite you to participate in an open and safe space that is female-friendly and queer-friendly. No discimination or uninvited touching will be tolerated.
