For this special summertime edition of VD&F, we've invited Detroit-by-way-of-SLC DJ/promoter and label friend Matthew Fit to join us in tossing up major vibes on the edge of Spreewaldplatz at budding hotspot It's a BAR.
Matthew Fit represents the Salt Lake City dance music scene, a small and tightly knit crowd of which he has been an integral force in the past several years. He began throwing parties there to rekindle his roots in the Midwest rave scene surrounding I-94, the highway connecting Detroit and Chicago which fostered many of the household names in the worldwide dance music scene today.
His regular parties in SLC have since drawn some of the scene's most exciting DJs to a long-overlooked part of the US. We first met Matt when he hosted us for a Voodoo Down label showcase in 2017, and since then he has played support to fine folks like Eris Drew, Mike Servito, Jason Kendig, Mark Farina, Exos, Sassmouth, and many, many more.
