Worlds Largest Mirror Ball

Last night at the very successful Goldmine Shithouse screenprinting party, I met a local artist named Derek Dyer who just so happens to have built the World's Largest Disco Ball called The Diversity Ball. The shiny object, unveiled on New Years Eve 2002-3 here in Salt Lake City was ten feet tall, two feet taller than the previous Guinness World Record.

Dyer, is also the executive director of the Utah Arts Alliance and ran for City Council at one point. You go Derek!
