RISE - SLC Dance Music Festival - July 12th

Ok, so just two days after The Roots kick off the Twilight Summer Concert Series, I'll be playing with an all-star lineup at RISE! ...the first dance music event of it's kind in SLC on July 12th at Gallivan Center. RISE! is going to be a fantastic day of music, fun, dancing and debauch. The organizers behind it have brought together not only an energetic music lineup, but have incorporated many layers into the event design and through community and nightclub involvement. It's seriously going to be spectacle not to be missed. My set time will be earlier in the day, so come early and enjoy the festivities with NewCityMovement in the house. Plus with two stages, myself, DJ DC (Trapp Door) and others may be playing again later in the evening.

Get your tickets before the day of the event! Tickets are $30 the day of the event so I recommend getting them EARLY for only $20 (+surcharge) from RiseMusicFest.com OR for a flat $20 at Lunatic Fringe locations, Mechanized or the RISE! kiosk on the patio at Trapp Door this Thursday night. I'll be playing a special Summertime DJ set there (patio) after 10pm so come say hello and play after the Roots or whatever.

LIVEstyle Entertainment in conjunction with Rise Productions, a new Salt Lake City - based promotion group, is proud to announce RISE! Dance Music Festival to take place July 12th, 2008. RISE! Is the first-ever outdoor dance music festival to take place in downtown Salt Lake City, and will feature a lineup of 10+ top DJ's from the international and local house music scenes. RISE! will take place at the Gallivan Center event complex in the heart of downtown Salt Lake City, surrounded by the skyscrapers that make up the city skyline. RISE! will be eight hours of nonstop pulse pounding music on two stages, fashion, entertainment, and is expected to be the destination dance music event of the summer. In addition to a world-class musical lineup featuring Utah native Starkillers, Jeremy Dawson (of Shiny Toy Guns), Scooter & Lavelle, Crobar (Chicago) resident DJ Tony Arzadon and local sensations DJ:K and DJ Viibe among others, RISE! will feature outdoor water activities such as 50-foot slip n' slides, 2 runway swimwear fashion shows with ELITE models and a full vendor concourse of arts, crafts, fashions, technology and food and beverage offerings.

In addition to the lineup of world-class music, swimsuit models and outdoor activities, RISE! has partnered with six of Utah's hottest nightclubs to incorporate authentic experiences from each and build a coalition of the club owners at the heart of dance music in the region.  Harry O's will manage and operate the VIP lounge on the stage and green room for key VIP guests, while Huka Bar will build a re-creation of its club in the Gallivan Center ice skating rink and provide high end hospitality, beer, wine and liquor service to 21-and-over attendees. Official RISE! promotional events will also take place during RISE! Week at Hotel/Elevate nightclub (July 11) and the Circle Lounge (the official afterparty on July 12), with other events and promotions to take place at The Playground in Park City.
