Everybody Dance Now
Social dancing from around the world
photographed by Martin Parr between 1972 and 2008
With a small run of 2000, this book is very hard to get as it was published by a Dance Foundation and destined solely for the Foundation's magazine subscribers. It is now officially out of print. It will most likely appear on secondary markets really soon, so this is an opportunity to get a pristine SIGNED copy.
Designed by Pentagram/Abbott Miller, 'Everybody Dance Now' is a portfolio of photographs by Martin Parr that capture the universal delight in getting down. Photographed over the past 35 years, the color-saturated pictures, including a few early black and white images, document the twisting, twirling, shimmying and shaking that take place in nightclubs, dance competitions, parades and celebrations from Blackpool to São Paolo.
