NiteLite – Three Years Of Magic / The Last Party – Saturday Sept. 18th w/ Nick Hammer (S.F.) & Jesse Walker
If you were a true dance clubbing fiend from 'back in the day' you would most definitely know the name... "NICK HAMMER".
Coming out of the early 90's scene in San Francisco where he used to play some of the best parties including his own gig at the legendary End Up, one NICK HAMMER took a journey for five amazing years to Salt Lake City where along with DJ's like Stephen 'Bam Bam' Santoro, Shawn Phillips, Chris (Mechanized) Sick and others he helped to formulate, educate and ultimately define the House/Rave dance scene that continues in Utah today. From his first adventures causing a ruckus at the afterhours Playschool parties to rocking Lee Williams and Jared Gold's topsy-turvy parties at the (original) Vortex and the Sun (R.I.P.) to flexing the floors with Ryan Raddon (Kaskade) at the funky Manhattan Club and finally starting the infamous 'Kitchen' parties at Bricks (where he designed and built the DJ booth!!!) or 'Sheltered Groove' at Kings, which then became Axis. This man was a true originator who still embodies the spirit of House... Happy, Groovy, Funky, Steamy, Sexy HOUSE! And although his focus grew to encompass a passion for carpentry and his growing family, he's still knows what's UP and continues sharing his vibrational magic today with weekly Sound Therapy Radio shows, Sound Therapy Productions and exclusive appearances. Come see why NICK was known for tearing the roof off any club as we welcome a true Utah Legend back to celebrate our Third Anniversary and final NITELITE!!!
