Park(ing) Day Celebrates Public Space In SLC

Friday, September 17th from 10am to 2pm is annual Park(ing) Day at 350 S. Main (in front of Exchange Place Plaza). Mark W. Puddy, a local architect with IBI Group is hosting this temporary greenspace in place of a few parking spaces today to promote the need for public spaces in cities. Following a group that started the project in San Francisco called Rebar, Mark has been doing this for four years in an effort to spark more conversation around public space and how we plan for it as the city grows.
