Scene at Cougar Ridge
Thanks to my best 'guy' friends I got to make one trip into the wilderness before winter comes this year. This is a pic of the sunset from our perch at Cougar Ridge (past Heber, past Strawberry). Funny thing is, a real cougar approaced our camp and was probably interested in eating our dutch oven stew sometime after night fell. Thankfully we saw his big red eyes from behind the bush where we were going to pee and made a lot of noise, otherwise one of us might have been in for a big surprise. A bit of genuine excitement for my one night of camping in as many years as I can remember. Maybe I should get out more?
