Seeing yourself in ‘Cipher’ | The Salt Lake Tribune
Yet again, our friends at Ririe Woodbury Dance Company have put together a forward thinking performance titled Touching Fire for their upcoming show Cipher. I've had the distinct pleasure of watching my friends Charlotte and Nathan work together with the amazing company of dancers to create something edgy and provocative. The set uses movable two-way mirrors to compliment the surreal, sensual choreography and text that's loosely based on the idea of 'madness'. Andd you will get chills watching any of the three duets in the piece move around and between the set. There is an article in the Tribune with more information, but trust me when I say Rire Woodbury is worthy of your patronage. Cipher premiers tomorrow night (Dec. 16th, 2010) at the Rose Wagner Theater. Tickets and info here.
