TEDx Comes To Salt Lake City
TEDx Salt Lake City - May 20, 2011
The theme of TEDxSaltLakeCity 2011 is “Creating Value by Design.” Our speakers will bring to light design principles and how they are creating value in ways that transcend disciplines, industries and cultures. Each of our presenters has roots in the Salt Lake City area, but their work has a global impact.
Speakers include Jeff Parkin, Filmmaker; Rachael Herscherr, Co-Founder, CEO and Publisher of Today's Mama; Chris Johnson, Director, Scientific Computing and Imaging Institute, University of Utah; Pauline Ploquin, Chief Managing Officer at StruckAxiom; Nate Morley, SVP Marketing and Creative at DC Shoes; Amy Lukas, Partner at Infinite Scale; and Mark Fuller, CEO at WET Design.
Topics include designing homes with a soul; making data make sense; using video ethnography for training; monetizing an online video franchise with more than 50 million views; sharing interactive stories through transmedia; prototyping micro franchises in Base of the Pyramid (BoP) markets; integrating eco-friendly supply chains; and crafting multi-sensory experiences.
