My girlfriends and I decended on City Dogs Vegetarian this afternoon at 200 E. & 300 S. to work on our tans and get our budget lunch groove on. As an old timey hipster/poseur I feel the occasional compulsion to yak about local food trucks/carts in the area. I know, I know... but food diversions are a fun addition to city life in SLC and there's no denying it. My doppleganger 'Jesse' Fruhwirth is the proud third owner of this meals on wheels box and his new revamped menu includes salad wraps and fancy takes on the classic dog minus the mystery meat. He even talking about switching to vegan cheese at some point but that might pushing it for some of us. Forgot your cash? City Dogs will be open from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday - Friday as well as at many special events for the season.
