The Good, The Bad & The Ugly (Mostly Good)

I've posted some of the better photos I found at the Skyscraper Pages forum showing recent progress at City Creek and beyond in downtown Salt Lake City. Mixed in with the traditional brick, mortar and stucco there are a few exciting buildings going up. The ZCMI facade was preserved which is great and the new Nordstrom facade looks sleek. Of couse the worst of it are more fugly beige, stucco condominium and apartment buildings. Should be interesting to see how it all fills out, if and when it does. And what will happen to the Gateway in the aftermath. It would be great to see more people living, working and playing downtown. Hoping for the best. (Thanks Chris for the tip!)
