Sam Weller's Main Street Is History
One of my favorite Main Street haunts, Sam Weller's bookstore has finally moved (three years after it's announcement) to Trolley Square. Not knowing what might come of the space, I took a walk around a week before they closed to capture some of it's mysterious essence for posterity.
The basement was a treasure trove of rare LDS books and literature, with specialized sections and hidden back rooms that seemed to go on forever. It was once a disco dancing club called The Broadway (see mirror clad beams) and a punk club before that (I've been told).
...after... lonely tables and chairs looking out from the Coffee Garden.
