Midnight Express
Last nights City Creek opening night gala went off without a hitch. I took some photos, the first is actually from the end of the night waiting to catch the train after the event. It felt a bit like a real city, but a surreal one without any dirt or homeless people. The cocktail/lounge space my friend Gary and his A-Team put together was pretty brilliant. I kicked out the elevator jams for about three hours and had a great time myself. Let's hope this thing actually does some good for downtown. One thing is clear, the south side where I live is officially cooler now that the temple has expanded into a shopping mall. (click any image for full size)
(girls night out! imagine wall to wall people, which it was earlier in the evening)
