I feel like there's a lot that's special about my little neighborhood Asian market on Main street. It's slightly off the beaten path, but close to downtown, is very clean, organized and best of all, super, super cute. Some of the things that make Global Supermaket so awesome are that it's owners speak multiple languages which makes asking for help no big deal. They carry a variety of Asian foods from China, Japan, Korea, Philippines, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam and have an entire case dedicated to vegetarian and vegan products. If you can't find something they are happy to order it for you. What are you making for dinner tonight? Global is a great place to get those last minute spices, garlic, fresh veggies like tiny Thai eggplants and bok choy, exotic mushrooms, eye popping canned 'things', frozen seafood, you name it or try to name it, since part of the fun is figuring out what everything is. They have a fantastic ramen and candy aisle too. It's one of my not-so-secret places to find yummy stuff in a rising part of downtown.
