Groove Garden 'After Dark' 3rd Year Season Opener w/ DJ DIZ, Saturday May 11th, 2013

Twenty-Thirteen has me taking on some major side projects that are totally satisfying, but leave me less free time for promoting. Due to this inconvenient fact, I've asked our Groove Garden partner Riche Boom to handle this Summer's festivities at the Garage. That said, I am delighted to be a guest at the first few events coming up soon. Below are details on the season opener, a Saturday night complete with special guest DIZ from Chicago. A heavyweight of the scene there, San Francisco and around the world, this should be a great kick-off to a beautiful summer!

Under the stars, & celebrating 3 consecutive years of Groove Garden. bring a hoody and your dancing shoes to this Saturday Night Evening one-off & season opening party for the wildly popular Sunday monthly "Groove Garden". We are proud to introduce Salt Lake City to a DJ synonymous with Soulful American House Music and resident at Chicago's infamous Boom Boom Room.

About DIZ:

The funky one known as Diz has been a part of the Chicago House Music scene from the early days, from the dancefloor listening to the likes of Frankie Knuckles and Ron Hardy to becoming a fixture behind the decks in the legendary Wicker Park loft scene of the 1990s. As a DJ, he's best known for his ongoing residency at Boom Boom Room; as a producer, for his releases on Classic, Igloo, Amenti, Greenskeepers Music, OM and Balance.
