From Eventbrite:  Journey through the lives of refugees and immigrants in Utah on Giving Tuesday, November 28th. Through a beautifully authentic portrait series courtesy of local photographer Brent Rowland, you will begin to understand the lives of Utah's refugees and immigrants in the way they experience it; from resettling in a new country with new customs, to rebuilding a life that was taken from them by war, violence, genocide, human trafficking, and more. While on this journey you will also enjoy hors-d'oeuvres from the Spice Kitchen Incubator.

Finally, join us for a panel discussion which includes scholars, resettlement agency representatives, and refugees, around topics, that address the needs, challenges, politics, and barriers refugees experience from their countries of origin to resettlement in the Salt Lake Valley - a journey not so different from Utah's pioneer ancestors.
