Juan Maclean / DJ Kicks Tour on Wednesday

For a dance producer, the Juan Maclean's John MacLean has a prettyserious punk rock pedigree thanks to all those years in Six Finger Satellite, and that background comes through in the Juan Maclean's intense live show. But lest we forget that MacLean is also a problem behind the turntables, he just dropped a straight-up house music mix CD. MacLean's entry in !K7's DJ Kicks mix series came out on April 27.

Maclean mixed the entire CD live on turntables, and it features an exclusive Juan Maclean track called "Feel So Good", which has a vocal from Juan/LCD Soundsystem collaborator Nancy Whang and a drum loop from the late drummer Jerry Fuchs. The mix also includes two different remixes of the Juan anthem "Happy House", as well as house tracks that date back to 1988.
